Setting Expectations

 

When I list your home you can expect me to not only sell your home but also keep you informed and moving forward in the process. I make sure every action item is handled.  I also believe in good communication some things to expect when listing with me include:

 

  • Initial consultation laying out a marketing plan and explaining the home selling and/or buying process.

  • Setting expectations on both sides.

  • Weekly conversations updating you on your listing.

  • Updates after a showing – providing feedback.

  • Walk you through each offer.

  • After an offer is accepted continued communication during the contract to closing process and after your home has sold

 

The Home Selling Process

 

There are many variances in the Home Selling Process but here is a good outline of the basics you can expect:

 

  • Decide to sell For Sale By Owner or use a Realtor

  • Meet with a Realtor

  • Understand Marketing Conditions

  • Discuss Marketing Plan & Set Price

  • Prepare Your Home & Yard To Sell

  • Photograph Home

  • Implement Marketing Strategies

  • Show Home

  • If no offer in first 2-3 weeks discuss price adjustment

  • Review Offers/Negotiations

  • Accept A Contract

  • Home Inspection

  • Appraisal

  • Any Repairs Made

  • Prepare To Move

  • Prepare Home For New Buyer

  • Final Walk Through

  • Closing At Attorney's Office - bring spouse, photo id, any money you neet to bring, keys to house, garage door openers
