Once you have painted it's time to think about updating your doors hardware. A beautiful door knob or a decorative knocker - even house numbers can add so much to your door. Consider taking the time to look outside your typical box stores for these items. One of my favorite places to find unique hardware is Brandino in Homewood. While working on your hardware make sure the doorbell is up and running!

LIGHTING
While changing out your door knob and knocker, be sure and go ahead and update your light fixture outside. At the very least clean it really well. An updated light piece is a great first impression. While you are at it make sure the lighting in the there is bright and a warm tone. LED lights just make sure its a warm light not a cool tone. Not sure - just ask someone at the store. Want to step up your game their are lots of fun bulbs out there - experiment and find the right one for your fixture and home.
ACCESSORIES
Once you have picked a door, door color, hardwar then the fun starts! Accessories. Keeping it simple and yet fun is the key. If you went with a bold color for your door you will want a simple green plans on each side with a fresh mat. A wreath or other door hanger can be added as well. If you went with a muted color for your door or a black or gray now is the time to add some color via your plants, mat and door hanger. Consider some large earns or pots for both sides of your door with seasonal flowers.
